Apple Vision Pro Sales Start Slow, But Future Looks Bright

Apple’s Vision Pro, the company’s big leap into spatial computing, hasn’t exactly flown off the shelves. So far, sales are underwhelming, with less than 100,000 units sold, far from Apple’s goal of 500,000 units for 2024. The steep price of $3,499 and limited availability are definitely part of the problem.

However, Apple isn’t too worried. They view this first version as just the beginning, a foundation to build on for the future of spatial computing. Apple’s already tweaking the design and working on a cheaper version for future releases. The Vision Pro might not be a hit just yet, but with its high-resolution micro-OLED displays and spatial audio, it’s still a seriously advanced piece of tech.

Apple’s confident that as the technology gets better and production costs go down, the Vision Pro will eventually find a bigger audience, similar to how the iPhone and iPad evolved over time. So while the start might be slow, Apple’s track record suggests that the Vision Pro could still make a big splash in the future.
