Casio has announced a special 50th Anniversary Watch Series, celebrating its five decades of watchmaking excellence. The collection merges the brand’s signature style with modern technology, offering fans a nostalgic yet advanced lineup of timepieces.
A key piece in the series is the Casiotron TRN50ZE-1A, which pays homage to Casio’s first digital watch from 1974. This model has been updated with Tough Solar technology, water resistance up to 50 meters, and Multi-Band 6 radio time adjustment. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity for easy syncing with smartphones, a 1/100 stopwatch, and an auto-calendar that goes up to 2099.
Other watches in the collection, including the Baby-G BGD-S565ZE-1, Edifice EFS-S640ZE-1A, and Pro Trek PRW-6900ZE-1, bring varying designs and features while maintaining Casio’s commitment to innovation. For example, the G-SHOCK GMC-B2100ZE-1A, priced at US$930, combines the rugged durability of G-SHOCK with modern upgrades.
This limited edition release is expected to appeal not only to Casio enthusiasts but also to new fans, offering a blend of timeless design with modern-day functionality. The remaining models are expected to launch by the end of 2024, adding more excitement to this celebratory collection.
