Com2uS CEO Jae-gwan Nam has announced an exciting collaboration update between Summoners War: Chronicles and the globally renowned anime, Evangelion.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, created by the famous animator Hideaki Anno, debuted in 1995 and has garnered worldwide acclaim. The series was further expanded with four “Rebuild of Evangelion” films, released between 2007 and 2021, under Anno’s direct supervision, attracting both longtime fans and new audiences.
In this collaboration, four Evangelion pilots—Shinji, Rei, Asuka, and Mari—join Chronicles as unique Monsters. Shinji is a Water and Dark warrior, Rei is a Wind and Light knight, Asuka is a Fire and Dark assassin, and Mari is a Fire and Light archer.
Summoners War Chronicles x Evangelion Collaboration
Each collaboration character blends their original anime appearance with unique battle traits from Chronicles. For instance, Rei’s “A.T. Field” skill can neutralize enemy abilities and protect allies, while Mari’s “Pallet Rifle” deals significant damage.
Players can acquire these Evangelion pilots using Mystical Scrolls, Crystals, and exclusive collaboration summoning scrolls. Characters are guaranteed with a 100% chance upon reaching a specified summon mileage.
To celebrate this release, various events will run until August 10. The “Ready to Fight! Stop the Angel Invasion!” event allows players to use special in-game currency, “Energy Coins,” to thwart Angel invasions in Chronicles and earn rewards. “Energy Coins” can be collected in-game, and players can also gather materials to enhance Monsters by defeating three types of Angels.
Exciting Event: Fight Alongside the Rift Pilots!
Additionally, the “Fight Alongside the Rift Pilots!” event lets players complete dungeons with Evangelion collaboration Monsters and earn rewards such as scrolls and Artifact Seals. Players can even borrow collaboration characters for these dungeons. Successfully summoning collaboration characters enables participation in the “Encounter with the Rift Pilots” event.
The White Night Summon event, running until August 7, offers players a chance to obtain the Light-type Nine-tailed Fox ★5 and the Dark-type Occult Girl ★5. Two new Monster stories will be added to the “Joshua’s Library” feature, along with the exclusive Legendary Artifact for Amazon.
