Get Ready for a Slicker Willamette: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Confirmed with RE Engine!

Heads up, zombie slayers! The rumors are true – Capcom just confirmed that the upcoming Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be powered by the RE Engine! This means Frank West is about to get a serious graphical upgrade for his Willamette slaughterfest.

Imagine mowing down hordes of undead with even more realistic gore and smoother visuals. The RE Engine, the same one behind Resident Evil 4 Remake and Dragon’s Dogma 2, is known for its ability to crank up the detail and make things look downright nasty (in the best way possible, of course).

We don’t have all the details yet, but Capcom did mention that Frank’s gonna be rocking some fresh facial expressions, along with more realistic textures for everything from the zombies themselves to the environments you’ll be bashing brains in. Plus, the remaster will run at a sweet 4K 60fps, so get ready for some buttery smooth zombie-whacking action.

On top of the visual upgrades, they’re also throwing in some quality-of-life improvements. Think auto-saving (because who needs the stress of forgetting to save?), revamped controls, and a spiffed-up user interface. Plus, rumors are swirling that the remaster might even be fully voiced, which could add a whole new layer of immersion to the experience.

So, mark your calendars, grab your favorite combo weapon (chainsaw and teddy bear, anyone?), because the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is set to hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on September 18th!
