Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is Still in Development, Aiming to Make Akira Toriyama Proud

Often seen as a “second-tier” JRPG by many Western gamers but one of the most beloved titles by Japanese gamers, what Dragon Quest has achieved is often difficult to describe. We are talking about a game title whose release of a new series in the past has caused a strange phenomenon in the Japanese economy, where many employees and students reported themselves sick just to be able to enjoy it.

In addition to the Dragon Quest III HD-2D project, which recently received a platform release update, Square Enix also talked a little about the latest series – Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.

Still present with only a confirmation of the main logo design, Square Enix has come up with a statement that is quite comforting for those who are worried about the fate of this latest series. Through his official Twitter account, the creator – Yuji Horii emphasized that Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is still under development.

He even claimed to have just finished a meeting related to the game. He himself did not share much information at this time, but he is very ambitious to make Dragon Quest XII a posthumous game that can be proud of the names of two talents: the late Akira Toriyama and the late Koichi Sugiyama.

Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate itself currently still does not have any information about the release date window or platform. What about you? Still patiently waiting for this series, which was first announced in May 2021?
