Itel is set to release its first-ever flip phone, the Itel Flip One, in September 2024. Unlike the high-tech folding smartphones that have recently gained popularity, the Flip One focuses on providing a more traditional flip-phone experience. It offers essential features like internet access, texting, calling, and even a camera. Aimed particularly at Gen Z and millennials looking for a break from constant smartphone connectivity, the device is positioned as a “digital detox” tool.
Design-wise, the Flip One stands out with its premium leather back and sleek flip mechanism, giving it a sophisticated look. The phone is designed for portability and one-handed use, with additional features like Bluetooth support, a Type-C charging port, and a Bluetooth caller function that allows users to sync contacts from their smartphones.
It also includes a non-removable battery and a glass keypad, supporting 13 Indian languages, and is expected to be available in three different colors. Though pricing has not been confirmed yet, it is anticipated to be affordable, aligning with Itel’s reputation for budget-friendly devices
