The adorable aesthetic of LEGO games has often led older gamers to dismiss them as mere “children’s games.” However, for those who give these games a chance, LEGO’s collaborations often result in some of the best adaptations of any source material.
But have you ever imagined LEGO collaborating with a major PlayStation franchise instead of an established film franchise? At least that’s what the rumors are saying right now.
Reputable leaker Tom Henderson confirms earlier speculations, suggesting that LEGO and PlayStation are teaming up to develop a game together. Henderson believes that PlayStation’s popular Horizon franchise will be the basis for the collaboration, with the game tentatively titled LEGO Horizon Adventures.
According to Henderson, the game’s content and gameplay will be similar to Horizon Forbidden West but with a LEGO twist. The visuals are also said to be aiming for a realistic LEGO look.
Unfortunately, Henderson has no further information on when the game will be announced or released, if at all. What do you think? Sounds like an exciting project?
