Monster Hunter Wilds Embraces Cross-Play

The recent showcases of Monster Hunter Wilds during at least the last two events have been nothing short of impressive, unveiling a new region untouched before, appearing untamed and menacing, with a plethora of new monsters ready to “prey” on your life. Following its debut gameplay showcase at State of Play some time ago, Capcom has also finally unveiled the second trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds at Summer Game Fest 2024, positioning itself as one of the main highlights. It also comes with some exciting news.

This second trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds indeed showcases many new elements, including the new region – the Forbidden Lands, which reveals more monsters, including a type of flying monster capable of emitting lightning beams. You also encounter a monster named Balahara hunting in packs, culminating in a battle with a larger variant.

The good news? Monster Hunter Wilds will also be released with cross-play feature from day one, allowing PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC gamers to play together. This feature remains optional so that players who are not interested can disable it.

Capcom plans to showcase more of Monster Hunter Wilds at major events such as Opening Night Live 2024 Gamescom in August 2024. The game is slated for release in 2025.
