Qualcomm is soon to announce its latest flagship-class chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, in the near future. Even before its official release, benchmarks of the chipset believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have already surfaced on Geekbench.
According to Geekbench data, the device identified as one of the smartphones set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the Nubia Red Magic 9, with initial benchmark scores of 1596 for Single Core and 5977 for Multi Core.
It’s important to note that these are preliminary scores, and the final version may vary once it’s officially released.
Previous rumors have suggested that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will employ a new architecture with a “1+5+2” configuration, where the chipset, manufactured on the 4nm TSMC process, will consist of one primary Cortex-X4 core, five performance cores in the form of Cortex-A720, and two efficient cores as Cortex-A520. This chipset will come equipped with the Adreno 750 GPU, expected to feature attributes such as a 10MB L3 cache.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 itself is set to be unveiled at the Snapdragon Tech Summit in October 2023.
