It appears that POCO is gearing up for the release of its next-generation POCO F7 Series. The POCO F7 and POCO F7 Pro have recently been spotted in the IMEI database, with model numbers 2412DPC0AG and 24122RKC7G, respectively. Speculation suggests that these smartphones could make their debut by the end of this year.
This speculation is based on the first four digits of the POCO F6 model number, “2412,” which typically indicate the debut date of this Xiaomi sub-brand’s smartphones. However, it is important to note that this debut refers to the launch of the original model in China.
According to a report from Gizmochina, a similar model number with the suffix “C” has also appeared in the IMEI database. The Redmi K80 is listed under the model number 24122RKC7C, indicating that the POCO F7 Pro could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K80, which is exclusively released in China.
Meanwhile, the POCO F7 is expected to be a rebranded international version of the Redmi Turbo series, similar to how the previous POCO F6 was a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 3. Unfortunately, there has been no indication yet of the release of a new Redmi Turbo model.
The POCO F7 is anticipated to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, or more likely, the semi-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. However, this information is still very preliminary, so we will have to wait for further updates.
