Apple is poised to make a double software debut, with both iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 scheduled for release on September 18, 2023. This noteworthy revelation occurred at the “Wonderlust” event, which was primarily focused on the introduction of the iPhone 15 Series. The simultaneous launch of these operating system updates has sparked considerable excitement, raising the crucial question of device eligibility.
The journey towards iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 commenced at Apple’s WWDC event on June 5, 2023. After undergoing a meticulous series of Beta testing phases, Apple is now poised to introduce these updates on a global scale.
iOS 17 brings an array of exciting features to the table. One standout addition is “Contact Poster,” which allows users to display full-screen images of their contacts during phone calls, personalizing the communication experience. FaceTime video calls and Messages have also undergone substantial enhancements, promising a richer communication platform. Furthermore, updates have been implemented for AirDrop, NameDrop, autocorrect, dictation, privacy measures, AirPlay, Apple Music, the Safari browser, StandBy mode, and the introduction of the brand-new “Journal” app. Notably, iOS 17 empowers users to activate Siri without the need for the customary “hey” wake word.
