One of the unique features of each new Like a Dragon game by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is their public audition to find a female character talent. Recently, the developer unveiled the 10 finalists who have made it to the final round.
The announcement was made on Twitter, accompanied by a short video introducing all the finalists. Fans of Japanese pop culture might recognize some of the names.
The winners will be revealed live on July 16th. Here are the names and professions of the 10 finalists in the order they appear in the video:

- Enako — Cosplayer
- Hisashi — Office Worker
- Seiko Kirishima — Race Queen
- Kaho Shibuya — Talent | Writer | Content Creator | Cosplayer
- Rio Takamori — Office Worker
- Otoha Totsuka — MC | Talent
- Ai Hongo — AV Actress
- Misoshiru — MC | Game Commentator
- Minako — Talent
A notable difference in this audition is that the specific game for which they are being cast has not been revealed, as Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has yet to announce the title of the next Like a Dragon project.
During the Like a Dragon panel at Anime Expo 2024, the developers hinted that fans might be surprised by the next installment, raising expectations even higher.
Considering the studio’s tendency to release spin-offs before the main games, there is speculation about a remake and English localization of games like Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!, or a continuation of Takayuki Yagami’s story in the Judgment series.
With the Tokyo Game Show 2024 approaching, it’s possible that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will reveal the next Like a Dragon game by late September.
