Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Price Set to Increase, but Comes with New Upgrades

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to come with a higher price tag than its predecessor, but with several notable improvements that could justify the increase. The “Fan Edition” lineup from Samsung has always aimed to deliver flagship-level features at a more affordable price point, and the S24 FE seems to be following that trend—albeit with a bit more cost.

The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to retain the sleek design language of its predecessor, featuring a premium glass back and a metal frame for durability. However, there may be slight refinements in the overall build, such as improved ergonomics and a more polished finish. Leaked renders suggest that the device will have a similar appearance to the Galaxy S23 series, keeping the minimalist look with a centered punch-hole display for the front camera.

The S24 FE will likely come with a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, offering a Full HD+ resolution and a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This upgrade will make for a more responsive and fluid user experience, particularly for gaming, browsing, and multitasking. The panel is expected to deliver vibrant colors, deep blacks, and high brightness levels, making it suitable for outdoor use and media consumption.

One of the major upgrades expected in the Galaxy S24 FE is its processing power. The phone is rumored to be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Exynos 2200 chipset, depending on the region. This will provide a significant boost in performance over the Galaxy S21 FE, ensuring faster multitasking, smoother gaming, and better overall efficiency. Paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options starting at 128GB, users can expect a fast and responsive device that can handle heavy apps and games with ease.

Samsung is likely to equip the Galaxy S24 FE with an improved camera setup, borrowing some of the advanced features from its flagship Galaxy S23 series. The phone is expected to feature a 50MP main camera, an upgrade from the 12MP sensor found on the previous model. This will result in sharper, more detailed images. In addition to the main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom are also expected. The selfie camera will likely remain at 32MP, offering high-quality front-facing shots with enhanced portrait and night modes.

The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery, slightly larger than its predecessor, ensuring all-day battery life even with heavy usage. Samsung’s 25W fast charging support will return, though some users may be hoping for faster charging speeds as seen in the higher-end models. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging will also be part of the package.

Running on One UI 6 based on Android 14, the Galaxy S24 FE will come with Samsung’s latest software enhancements, including improved multitasking, enhanced privacy features, and more customization options. Samsung is also expected to continue its tradition of offering several years of software updates, ensuring the device remains up-to-date with the latest features and security patches.

While the price of the Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be higher than its predecessor, the new upgrades in performance, camera technology, and display quality make it a more appealing option for those looking for a premium experience without the flagship price tag. For fans of the series, the S24 FE could strike the right balance between price and performance, offering a solid alternative to the more expensive S23 models. The official launch is highly anticipated, and it will be interesting to see how Samsung positions this device in an increasingly competitive market.
