Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Getting a RAM Boost

So, there’s been a lot of chatter about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Series. Initially, rumors were floating around that Samsung wouldn’t be bumping up the RAM in these new phones. But guess what? That seems to be the case only for the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus. The latest buzz is that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is going to get a sweet upgrade to 16GB of RAM.

For the past few models, Samsung’s regular and standard flagship phones have been sticking to 8GB of RAM since the Galaxy S10 Series. And it looks like the next-gen Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus will keep the same 8GB RAM setup.

Now, let’s talk about the Ultra model. Ever since the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung has been packing these with 12GB of RAM. But according to the well-known leaker Ice Universe, next year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is going to step up its game with a whopping 16GB of RAM.

Why the upgrade? Well, Samsung wants to make sure the Galaxy S25 Ultra can handle on-device AI processes better. Running AI stuff locally eats up a lot of RAM, especially with the new Google Gemini Nano 2 AI model that’s going to be in the S25.

Besides the RAM upgrade, there are also whispers about the Galaxy S25 getting some cool camera improvements and a tougher frame. But don’t get your hopes up for a bigger battery – it looks like the battery capacity is staying the same as previous models.

In a nutshell, if you’re eyeing the Galaxy S25 Ultra, you can look forward to more RAM and some neat enhancements, even if the battery size isn’t changing.
