Starfield Encounters Challenges on Intel Arc GPUs, Resulting in Gameplay Issues for Some Gamers

After much anticipation, Starfield has become accessible to a portion of gamers who opted for the premium version. However, this privilege primarily extends to those equipped with NVIDIA or AMD graphics cards. For the gaming community relying on Intel GPUs, a dose of disappointment has overshadowed the excitement, courtesy of performance-related hiccups.

While Starfield remains officially off-limits to the public, both AMD and NVIDIA have already rolled out driver updates to ensure seamless compatibility with Bethesda’s space RPG. Curiously, the blue team, Intel, has yet to deliver a driver update for this eagerly awaited game, which made its debut early in September.

Intel Acknowledges Starfield Woes on Its Arc GPUs

Intel, via its X social media platform on Twitter, has officially acknowledged the existence of issues with its Arc graphics cards and pledged efforts to enhance the gaming experience as the game’s official launch approaches next week.

Comments posted in response to Intel’s Tweet reveal that several gamers have been confronted with the disheartening situation of being unable to access the game altogether, with it merely running in the background. The gaming community has collectively expressed their dismay, particularly considering that Intel hasn’t furnished a driver update for what is widely regarded as this year’s most significant game release.

Not All Intel GPU Users Are Affected

Interestingly, not all Intel GPU owners have encountered identical setbacks. A case in point is Gabriel Gilliam, who reported that an acquaintance of theirs successfully played Starfield on a VGA A770 GPU, while their own gaming experience remained plagued by non-starting issues.

In all likelihood, gamers may need to await the release of a driver update from the blue team, aligning with the official game release date. For the present moment, Starfield remains exclusive to NVIDIA and AMD graphics card users.
