Under the hood, the phone is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek MT6893Z/CZA chipset, which some sources speculate could be the Dimensity 1300, now rebranded as the Dimensity 8050. However, it’s worth noting that there might be some confusion surrounding this chipset renaming.

Additionally, the Tecno Phantom V Flip is expected to pack 8GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance. The device runs on Android 13, offering the latest software experience.

One distinctive feature of the Tecno Phantom V Flip is its circular external display. While other foldable clamshell phones are competing to maximize their external screen real estate, Tecno has taken a unique approach by incorporating a circular display positioned at the center of the camera ring.

This external screen measures just 1.39 inches, but it adds a touch of distinctiveness to the device. Speaking of the camera ring, it’s anticipated to house a 64MP sensor, a 13MP sensor, and an LED flash.

As for the official release date, Tecno has yet to make an official announcement, but industry insiders suggest it could make its debut sometime around October. So, stay tuned for more updates on this intriguing foldable offering from Tecno.
