Life by You had a lot of promise. Imagine exploring a whole open world, with characters chatting in their native languages! Unfortunately, after several delays, the game just wasn’t meeting expectations. Neither Paradox nor the gaming community were happy with the quality, so the plug was pulled.
This cancellation also means the end for Paradox Tectonic, the 24-person studio developing Life by You. It’s a sad day for gamers who were hoping for a fresh take on life simulation games.
So, what’s left? Right now, the only major contender for The Sims throne seems to be INZOI, a project by South Korean developer Krafton. Will INZOI rise to the challenge? Only time will tell.
