TikTok is trying out a cool new feature called “Sound Search.” Basically, it lets you find songs by humming, singing, or playing a little audio clip, kind of like what Shazam does.
You can get to this feature by tapping the microphone icon in the Search tab of the TikTok app. But heads up, it’s only available to a small group of users right now since it’s still in the testing phase. No word yet on when TikTok will roll it out for everyone.
Once it’s out, Sound Search is going to make finding songs a breeze, which is super handy since music is such a big part of TikTok. It’d be even cooler if you could use it to find all those viral sounds on TikTok too.
A little while ago, YouTube came out with a similar feature where you can search for songs by humming or singing. But honestly, TikTok’s Sound Search seems way more fun than just a basic song search. What do you think? Worth the wait?
