Vivo V40 Series Officially Launched in Europe: Ultra-Slim Design with a Large Battery

The Vivo V40 series has quietly hit the European market, introducing two new flagship models: the Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. Interestingly, these phones are already available for purchase, even though Vivo hasn’t officially announced them yet.

Both the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro come with the same sleek dimensions—164.2 x 74.9 x 7.58 mm—which makes them some of the slimmest smartphones out there, despite packing a massive 5,500 mAh battery. And if you’re worried about charging, both models support 80W FlashCharge, so you can juice up quickly.

Under the hood, the Vivo V40 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the V40 Pro steps it up with the Dimensity 9200+ processor. Both models sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a sharp resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels. Plus, the screens are incredibly bright, hitting up to 4,500 nits, which is a big step up from the previous V30 series.

Now, if you’re into photography, you’ll love what these phones have to offer. The front camera on both models features a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor, neatly tucked into a punch-hole on the display. On the back, the Vivo V40 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup: a 50 MP main camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor, a 50 MP telephoto portrait camera with a Sony IMX816 sensor, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera. The regular V40 isn’t too far behind with its dual-camera setup, featuring a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera.

Both phones also come with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and AI Aura Light Portrait, complete with a ring LED flash, so you can count on clear and beautiful photos in any lighting. Running on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, the Vivo V40 series offers plenty of memory options too.

Both models are available in three stylish colors: Meteor Blue, Moonlight White, and Stellar Silver. If you’re looking for something a little different, the Vivo V40 also has two exclusive colors: Nebula Purple and Sunglow Peach.
