Xiaomi has introduced HyperOS 2.0, the latest version of its operating system that brings a suite of new AI-driven features aimed at enhancing user experience, connectivity, and device performance. At the heart of these updates are three key pillars: HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI, which together form a more cohesive and efficient operating system that integrates smoothly across Xiaomi’s ecosystem of devices, from smartphones and tablets to wearables and home tech.
HyperCore focuses on core performance improvements, optimizing memory usage, and reducing battery drain, particularly for resource-intensive tasks like gaming. Users can expect faster app launch times and a smoother overall experience. HyperConnect, on the other hand, has expanded device interoperability, allowing for simpler multitasking across devices. Notably, HyperOS 2.0 now also supports compatibility with Apple devices, facilitating easier file sharing and access between Xiaomi and Apple products.
In terms of AI capabilities, HyperOS 2.0 introduces Super XiaoAI, a voice assistant with expanded functions that range from real-time translations to organizing photos and even recognizing and summarizing content from screenshots or lengthy messages. It can assist in daily tasks across devices, helping users stay organized while offering a more personalized and interactive experience. The gallery app now includes an AI-powered object remover, and there are updates to Always-On Display, widgets, and control center layouts for a fresh visual appeal.
This OS will be available on the latest Xiaomi devices, including the Xiaomi 15 series, Pad 7 series, and Xiaomi’s S4 wearables. Rollouts for existing Xiaomi users are set to start in November, with updates planned for models like the Xiaomi 14 and Redmi K60 series. HyperOS 2.0 underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to creating a seamless, intuitive experience across its ecosystem, making it a noteworthy upgrade for those invested in Xiaomi technology.
