Xiaomi has just unveiled the Redmi Pad SE 4G, the newest addition to the Redmi Pad SE series, which was previously only available in a WiFi version. The Redmi Pad SE 4G brings several significant updates while remaining budget-friendly for users who need a tablet with cellular support.
Specifications of the Redmi Pad SE 4G
The Redmi Pad SE 4G features an 8.7-inch display, which is smaller compared to the 10.4-inch screen on the original Redmi Pad SE. The tablet’s dimensions are 211.6 x 125.5 x 8.8 mm, and it weighs 370 grams, making it more compact and lighter than its predecessor, which measures 255.5 x 167.1 x 7.4 mm and weighs 478 grams.
This tablet sports an IPS display with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels and a pixel density of 179 PPI. Although the pixel density is lower than the Redmi Pad SE’s 209 PPI, the Redmi Pad SE 4G still offers a 90 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits, which is higher than the Redmi Pad SE’s 400 nits.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, which is a step down from the processor in the Redmi Pad SE. It comes with 4 GB of RAM, which is adequate for everyday tasks such as browsing, watching videos, and playing light games.
The tablet is equipped with a 6,650 mAh battery that supports 10 W charging, ensuring that users can rely on it for all-day use.
Pricing Details
The Redmi Pad SE 4G will be available in India starting August 2, with a price tag of INR 10,999 for the variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. However, there is no information yet on whether Xiaomi’s latest tablet will soon be available in other markets, including Indonesia.
